"One of the best windows in living memory".

That it includes a 7-1 defeat to Coventry City doesn't say much for our previous windows.

Did anyone predict the 7-1 defeat out of interest Clive?

No, somebody put us to lose 5-1 which was the most pessimistic.
Somebody put us down to win 5-1 as well. Presumably on some bad acid.

No, the acid was great. Reality was the problem.

I predicted 5-0. Obviously, I didn't predict we'd be 5-0 down at half-time...

However, I do fancy us to win on Saturday, though I tend to be more optimistic about games I'm actually going to as in a strange way I think I can influence things.

I did my c license coaching badge here when Klinsmann was the US men’s head coach. The whole syllabus was based on playing 4-3-3. Seriously the paperwork as well making sure you understand the formation and its principles. I remember saying to the course instructor what happens when he gets sacked. Dropped as soon as he was gone for another hare brained scheme. Now it’s power point presentations and very little actual coaching.

This our glorious leader is why you can’t dictate or control football methodologies They are flawed.

Players and managers behind every decent team.

Not been through all 8 pages so apologies if this is already been said.

My take is the best we can hope for is a season long loan that might include a call-back at any point from Soton. Doubt, at this stage, it’ll be a ‘temp-to-perm’ deal.
He’s played a few games already so is this for them to have one good look at him before deciding whether to hold on to him or let him go, on loan at least or is it they’ve figured he’s OK at Championship level as a result of the loan with us?
If Soton fans are saying he’s way down the pecking order I’m hoping it’s a last look then loan him out, To us preferably.

There are more pressing issues than centre back, but if this kid was available, he’s that good, you’d just suck it up and get a deal agreed and accept we’ll remain rubbish in other areas. Top player.

Exactly right & if his good form continued we could make a profit on him in due course

Agree except a call back at any time hasn't been a thing, apart from non league, for many years. Only call back is in the January window.

I jokingly said to the car park attendant we could be back after half time if we were 4.0 down .
Little did I know. 😳

There will always be one optimist.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." Lifted from a Salisbury Cathedral TripAdvisor review.

For where we are right now, I'm happy to say it is, and Nourry deserves real credit for it. Three young, very promising attacking players, with undoubted sell-on potential, plus a vintage midfielder we all coveted. The hecklers, who bring nothing to the party apart from their cynicism, need to pipe down.

Where we are now is 3rd from bottom. Scrambling around again at the end of a transfer window, bringing in some players that have been here before and done ok, and maybe a couple of League 1 players that might kick on, or be the next Conor Washington and David Wheeler, all in all forming an intensely imbalanced squad to anyone who has watched this lot so far.

Time will tell of course, but no one can say it's been good so far, because we've lost 3 of 4, shipped 7 at Coventry, got an injury list as long as Andre The Giant's two arms, have a fanbase at war with each other, along with a bizarre explosion of bizarre PR on the club's official channels and unofficial ones.

Are you the same poster who constantly complained about the manager last season?

Re this season, it might be worth waiting until we win some games before you start telling us all how clever you are again.

I'm an occasional poster and regular reader. I agree with some opinions on here, others I disagree with. I wouldn't even think of telling people who post things I disagree with to 'pipe down'. I've noticed that you think people are prone to have a go at you. Maybe the way you speak to / about them is a factor. Have you ever considered that?
