Kone is official
That’s a great pick up!
Way beyond my expectations of who we would get in up front. For all the issues and concerns , the club have done an amazing job getting him and Poku in .The infamous ‘project’ is attractive to these players it seems . Well done!!!

Sky sports reporting deal done for Kone 2.75mil plus add ons
deals been delayed . medical staff have done a medical and found his hamstrings to be in full working order, they have asked for somebody to explain what that means , until then deal delayed
I do wonder if the issues with Ba's medical arose after we knew we had a good chance of getting Kone.

Back in for Hayden apparently...
I think that would be a very “pragmatic” signing. And just what we need to give cover and solidify the middle of the park. In some ways I’d enjoy watching Varane, Field and Hayden as a midfield 3 against one of the parachute teams…….god that would piss them off.

I imagine it'll depend on the wage request and also how much resentment he holds for us messing him around last year...
Isaac, we've got Poku, Kolli, Dembele, Kone, Burrell, Chair and if we need a bald brute from Right Said Fred to 'kin give it some, Frey...easy money mate. I doubt you'll need to break sweat.

I think it sounds like if we match the best offer for Hayden, his preference would be with ourselves.
Saito - likewise
Personally I am thinking both will come here.
Reason being, because myself personally, am confident finally that Eze will go to Spurs.
Reason for the confidence
1. They can offer less than the £68 million from tomorrow. Expect the selling price to be £55 million up to £60 million max.
2. Think Maddison got a very long term injury and Son has finally left the building.
3. Eze wants to stay in London.
4. Combination of Palace being demoted to Europa Conference League and Spurs competing in the Champions League.
5. Would be a first team regular for Spurs. Competing with several others at Arsenal.
6. Playing in a very high profile competition such as the Champions League will boost his own profile more and keep him in the picture more for an England place.
I think Nourry was clever to say we would not spend the money from any potential Eze sale, as would be players from other clubs, the prices may have increased.
I think the signing of Kone and the cost has been done in mind of Eze being sold this window finally. Think that's what the club believe now.
After that we need a full back on either or both sides.
Not keen myself on the profile of the Sheff Utd player. Think we could do with getting a more high calibre full back and we could shell out a few more pennies too
If he can stay fit Hayden is a good replacement for Colback.
He's a tough DMC, takes up all the correct positions and tackles so hard that other players try and pass around him rather than through him. Great to have when defending an attack, really fills in the spaces. If he's not asking the earth then a 2+1 option on our side would be worth doing.
It seems he likes the club and the players, and he also speaks like an intelligent person (so un-footballer-like).
If Saito is £5m then there is no chance, crackers talk that is. We don't need him anyway. We have Smyth, Kolli and Sutton on the left to replace Dembele, who will move over to the right to replace Poku. Or Dembele stays on the left and Smyth runs the right. Not to mention Chair can also play on the left of course.
If, we have that sort of money, we should be putting in a cheeky bid of the same amount for Edwards as that's a position we ned bolstering.
Did I read Max Lowe of Sheff Wed has put his 2 weeks notice in and becomes a free agent tomorrow? Plays Left-back you say?

But it’s not just down to Saito. If Birmingham bid 5m, I would be amazed if we would or could match that. Personally, if it’s true, we should move on and use Sutton as cover there, and Vale and Chair can play there. He’s a good lad Koki but we have other priorities especially with those transfer fees! I’d rather we got Hayden in and left back cover.
