The QPR summer transfer rumours thread on 13:44 - Aug 12 with 8355 views | cpgerber | If our injury list isn't bad enough, we now sign player who fail medicals. As a matter of interest, I assume "failing a medical" can mean a number of things? I remember Ajax's Kanu being diagnosed with a heart condition during one of those, but perhaps it could simply mean "not match fit" ? Or failed a drugs test? And I asume one's club medical is not the same as the other's. Someone with more knowledge help me out here.

I don't think Ba has failed the medical, it's thrown up some complications. Whatever that may imply. The same happened with Harvey Vale, but we signed him anyway as the issue was solvable.

The QPR summer transfer rumours thread on 17:31 - Aug 12 with 5991 views | VancouverHoop | I was thinking — like you do sometimes. Vancouver Whitecaps just signed Thomas Müller. He's costly, £3,250.000 per year, which would put him in the top 10 highest paid players in the Championship. But don't you think he, or someone like him*, would make short-term sense for us? Say a year maybe two as player-coach. OK I realise he's out of our price range, and at 35, long in the tooth. But, based on the matches I saw, he was still a handy sub for Bayern last season. We've got a team full of kids, especially up front, who could surely learn a lot from someone with his ability and experience. Plus I'll bet he be coaching somewhere significant in a year or two, so the experience for him would be invaluable * Yeah, I know we've got Michi Frey, who's maybe a lo-rent equivalent but, unlike Müller, he seems to be injured much of the time.

Hopefully this isn't the last heatwave we'll have this summer. Next one you need to make sure you wear a hat and keep hydrated.

Him, Burrell and (in patches) Kolli were the main pluses from the game tonight I thought. Nardi's first half performance and distribution was solid and a good penalty save. Some of the youngsters did well but they needed more experience out there to help them shine. A few looked completely out of their depth even against a Plymouth team that included a fair few youngsters.
The QPR summer transfer rumours thread on 06:48 - Aug 13 with 3047 views | Gloucs_R | Ba not coming, all over German press today. Not disappointed, he looked poor on his highlights reel and they seem to be happy to get rid after 6 months. Must mean Kone is joining.

I'm pleased Ba isn't coming in. It seemed a bizarre decision to sign him from the start. Will the club look for another striker instead? Stay tuned.

Perhaps Celar then staying after all, which means we have (hopefully) Kone, Burrell, Frey and Celar competing for 1 spot. Not sure Kolli is an out-and-out striker, but throw him in the mix anyway. That seems like more than enough options, even allowing for 2 or 3 out injured. Could always try a dev squadder in case of emergency, but signing a striker who has injury concerns already and discarded after only 6 months by his current club sounds like a red flag to me.

We still might be looking for a striker and try to get rid of Celar and who knows how long Frey stays fit when he returns. Window is open another 2,5 weeks, so lots of can happen in that time
The QPR summer transfer rumours thread on 12:52 - Aug 13 with 2194 views | bosh67 | Blimey if Ba's transfer is off because if medical results by our standards he must only have one leg or something? I suspect that if Cesar has been handed the 9 shirt that he is staying so it will be Burrell, Kone, Cesar and (if he is ever fit) Frey as the striker options, with Kolli either playing across midfield or up front if required? Unless we do send him on loan? We know he can actually score goals.

I must have watched a different game last night as I thought Kohli bar the goal was poor He got caught twice day dreaming and was offside when he shouldn’t of been His fitness levels are poor Took he is eye off the ball with that chance Vale put in I’m yet to see it from this lad if truth be told
| And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot
That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

Mmmm...i'm not convinced about Kolli either. It's a big point of difference between me and young Crowe. He rates Kolli and Madsen highly and i really don't.

I thought he was lax last night too. Would be surprised if he does not go out on a loan to see how he develops- was half expecting him to go the Eze route as part of Kone transfer.
