As a matter of interest, I assume "failing a medical" can mean a number of things? I remember Ajax's Kanu being diagnosed with a heart condition during one of those, but perhaps it could simply mean "not match fit" ? Or failed a drugs test?
And I asume one's club medical is not the same as the other's.

I don't think Ba has failed the medical, it's thrown up some complications. Whatever that may imply.
The same happened with Harvey Vale, but we signed him anyway as the issue was solvable. | |

I was thinking — like you do sometimes. Vancouver Whitecaps just signed Thomas Müller. He's costly, £3,250.000 per year, which would put him in the top 10 highest paid players in the Championship. But don't you think he, or someone like him*, would make short-term sense for us? Say a year maybe two as player-coach. OK I realise he's out of our price range, and at 35, long in the tooth. But, based on the matches I saw, he was still a handy sub for Bayern last season. We've got a team full of kids, especially up front, who could surely learn a lot from someone with his ability and experience. Plus I'll bet he be coaching somewhere significant in a year or two, so the experience for him would be invaluable

Him, Burrell and (in patches) Kolli were the main pluses from the game tonight I thought. Nardi's first half performance and distribution was solid and a good penalty save. Some of the youngsters did well but they needed more experience out there to help them shine. A few looked completely out of their depth even against a Plymouth team that included a fair few youngsters. |  | | |

We still might be looking for a striker and try to get rid of Celar and who knows how long Frey stays fit when he returns. Window is open another 2,5 weeks, so lots of can happen in that time | | | |
