I was under the impressing that Saito was at the end of his contract and would have been a free agent this summer. Either he resigned with Lommel, or I had it all wrong.

Should the club have gone for Davies from rangers instead of rnd?? Rnd only started 5 games last year for sheff u and seems to be injury prone. Never been deemed as good enough for sheff u. Davies meanwhile played 40 games for brum on loan as they pissed the league. Yet we are going to sign the player who doesn't seem to play much and had suffered quite a few serious injuries. I think a loan at left back makes sense.
Possibly when fit again, Larkeche could be the back up option, but the fact that Esquerdinha has shown ability and potential, the club maybe see him as a future number one choice and possibly even this season, as competing for first choice left back in the squad.
Am happy we going for Saito, especially since the Poku injury. Let's hope Poku's injury is as the club say, limited to being available in a few weeks, but sometimes in these situations the club can be economical with the truth. But also, i believe we are trying to move Paul Smyth on elsewhere. |  |

Reckon Steve Bould must have helped, fantastic news. His all round play ( defends, amazing leap) is better than Dembele’s who I love also. This squad is shaping into something. If everyone was fit ( massive if) the match day squad would have game changing subs, depth in strength. Two things I though we wouldn’t see for a while.
