Sky Sports Breaking News 15:46 - Apr 27 with 69610 views | welwynranger | Reporting that represensatives ofMarti have been talking to another championship club. 5 minutes ago. No further info at the moment. Bit worrying
Sky Sports Breaking News on 19:44 - Apr 29 with 3297 views | Phildo | Nourry may turn out to be some sort of football savant. Maybe not. The fact is our owners brains trust after years of c0ck ups decided the solution was to put a 26 year old in charge. Think on that for a moment- bit reckless no? [Post edited 29 Apr 19:45]

Sky Sports Breaking News on 19:41 - Apr 29 by GaryBannister86 | Anyone with access to the article tell me / us why there would be no compensation to be paid? |
It just states that they wouldn’t need to pay compensation without explaining why? Seems contrary to what we’d been lead to believe.

Sky Sports Breaking News on 09:44 - Apr 29 by R_from_afar | Debate - respectful debate - is great but we'd all do well to bear in mind a phrase used by the author of a piece of analysis on here earlier this season: "But a theory making sense doesn’t automatically make it true". While I am here, I'll just add that the reason I follow QPR is that SilverBirch, his dad and a third, Rangers supporting mutual friend persuaded me to go to Reading v QPR eons ago. Thanks for that, mate 👍 PS: We lost. Because of course, but at least realistic expectations were set |
Fck me, I was trying to defend him, and you drop that bombshell...😆

Sky Sports Breaking News on 20:03 - Apr 29 with 2919 views | Trom | He's been placed on gardening leave, not fully "axed" as in contract torn up. So basically, we continue to pay him and his contract is still in place, but he's asked to stay away from the club. Not good [Post edited 29 Apr 20:04]

Garden leave (also known as gardening leave) is the practice whereby an employee leaving a job – having resigned or otherwise had their employment terminated – is instructed to stay away from work during the notice period, while still remaining on the payroll.

Sky Sports Breaking News on 21:01 - Apr 29 with 2415 views | mart_Goblin | That statement on the website by Nourry blows my mind. He’s pulled the wool over a lot of eyes this week including MC, Ruben , the players….and his main aim, the fans. Be very wary about what you are reading or hearing . Sorry it’s cryptic . I’ll get stick for that. But beyond caring at this point . Infuriating and frustrating.

Sky Sports Breaking News on 10:42 - Apr 29 by daveB | My anger and frustration is with this all being a pattern that is repeated with these owners. Time and time again they have fallen out with managers and each time it leaves a mess You go back to Warnock and listening to agents saying he was not being good enough to attract big players so they sacked him and well safe to say that didn't end well. Second time with Warnock we were too good for him and really we should have swallowed pride and given him another go Ian Holloway did the job he was asked but he wasn't as smooth talking as McClaren so they made the change and it was wrong Warbs a similar thing, an internal fall out and the club got rid of the wrong person and now happening again with Marti When you see all that you kind of get why Beale spent most of his tenure trying to get out. Why is Marti open to leaving, something behind the scenes is just not right. The names change but the same thing keeps happening the club is so full of bullshit and inflated egos it's never going to get anywhere |
Well all those managers went onto to achieve massive success after leaving us didn't they... oh wait, hold on, they did eff all. Dunno why folks can't accept Marti is the latest in a long line of mediocre managers we've had. Yep, doesn't reflect well on the club's hiring strategy but I cannot get on board with the idea I have to blindly get behind the latest chump in the hotseat. I always have and always will call a spade a spade. I will hold my hands up and admit that the dumb blind faith many put in Marti made me go "all in" in terms of xhitbagging him. Apologies if that upset anyone. Ultimately he wasn't all that and he really had to go.
Sky Sports Breaking News on 22:15 - Apr 29 with 2079 views | HammersmithR | It would be helpful if the board had been more transparent this year. Yes, there are some things they can’t divulge but give us something to be positive about. We are all being asked to fork out money for a season ticket where we don’t know what the vision and aspiration is for the club! Another summer of upheaval beckons. Why would quality potential players want to sign for us when we are a club in such a state? I wouldn’t want to play for QPR at the moment. You can forget about the likes of Dunne wanting to stay at QPR. He’ll probably go and sign for Marti’s next club!! The sad thing is our owners will all go and all of us will still be here to pick up the pieces like we have done so many times in our history.

I may be misinterpreting, I feel the attempt to project balance by suggesting that Nourry has a legitimate grounds for complaint, re. Marty coaching the talent brought in, completely overlooks that only one person in this equation has a football pedigree. I might be persuaded to this argument if our CEO/DOF was an experienced campaigner and had some sort of proven track record. Nourry it seems does not, in football or other areas.

I think the Dunne part and some of the other contracts were obvious, Dunne was never going to sign a deal unless he knew who the manager was going to be and I'm sure like many of us he was not confident it would be Marti. You can imagine a scenario where Marti goes to West Brom, he takes Dunne with him , because he will play him, and Furlong comes the other way as part of the compensation package.

Sky Sports Breaking News on 08:02 - Apr 30 with 1346 views | cpgerber | We just can't ever seem to build any momentum with one manager. Warburton lasted 3 season which was pretty amazing. I really hoped Marti had time to put at least a good foundation here, but we are not at that point yet and now the entire rebuild starts again. Klopp, Pep, Sir Alex, Wenger ... the top "projects" don't change managers willy nilly. We'll be back here in (at most) two years time going through the whole thing again.

If the next manager turns this squad, with this recruitment team, this controlling CEO, this 'game model', this divided fanbase, this strike force, without a single full back to its name, with the Director of Performance in a different continent but still drawing a wage, with the club playing the petty schoolyard games that it has this season into a two year stint I will be staggered. Far more likely he's gone before the end of the January transfer window and we're desperately seeking a dog fight specialist toward the spring. I've seen this film before. It was sh!t.

It is revealing that only a few years ago he was more concerned about Gen Z's social media perception than the reserve left back at Port Vale.

This is an interesting listen and has balanced opinions from someone (Dave Mc) I’d trust to know what’s really going on at QPR a lot more that the ‘Marti used to work with my missus’ and ‘I played for QPR youth team’ brigade. Doesn’t fit the narrative though eh?

Sky Sports Breaking News on 15:31 - Apr 29 by lassel | Long story short, big sponsorships generated via the hype from the show |
It's not just that. Outside of the Champ the permitted losses to income are greater. So the owners can invest (lose) more money if they wish. Wrexham will have to go balls out for the Prem now, as they won't be able to survive in the Champ if they carry on with the business model of being the "big league bullys" which is how they got promotion previously. They are just a Ali-Express version of Man City. Please don't buy into any of the bollox. The hollywood owners have not risked one penny of their personal wealth on this project. They have been paid to make a TV show and used that money to run the club. Fairytale my arse
