The QPR summer managers rumours thread on 20:36 - Jun 2 with 4641 views | Gloucs_R | Based on the information available, it's difficult to definitively say whether Rasmus Bertelsen is a "good" football manager in an absolute sense. However, we can look at indicators that suggest his capabilities and reputation: * Tactical Approach: He is known for an innovative and tactical approach, favoring a 4-4-2 formation and emphasizing an attractive and offensive style of play. * Development of Players: He has a history of excelling in developing young talents, particularly during his time in the youth ranks of FC Copenhagen. * Improving Team Performance: As head coach of the Danish national team in 2021, his "tactical vision and motivational skills have been key to improving the team's performance in international competitions." * Recognition: He was recognized for his innovative and tactical approach while coaching FC Copenhagen's under-21 team, leading them to several titles. He later managed to qualify FC Copenhagen for several European competitions. * Current Role: As of March 2023, he is the manager of Randers FC in the Danish Superliga, with a contract expected to run until June 2026. In the 2024/2025 season with Randers, he has a record of 14 wins, 9 draws, and 11 losses in 34 total matches, giving a points-per-match average of 1.50. In the league specifically, the average is 1.59 points per match over 22 games. * Interest from Other Clubs: Wycombe Wanderers reportedly showed strong interest in appointing him as their head coach in January 2025, suggesting he is a well-regarded manager. However, he rejected their proposals to stay with Randers FC. In summary: Rasmus Bertelsen appears to be a well-regarded and tactically astute manager with a focus on offensive football and player development. His track record includes success in youth development, guiding FC Copenhagen to European competitions, and improving the Danish national team. While there's no definitive label of "good," the available information suggests he is a capable and respected football manager.

According to Extra Bladet, Danish newspaper this might have legs: Rasmus Bertelsen has really shown his worth as head coach in the season that just ended. The Randers boss thus led the Danish team to fourth place in the Super League - their best position in ten years. They have noticed that in London. According to Bold's information, Championship club QPR is showing great interest in the 41-year-old coach, who has held various roles at Randers FC since 2009. On paper, former AaB coach Marti Cifuentes is still head coach of the London club, but he is expected to soon be gone. Cifuentes was on compulsory leave earlier this year while in talks with an unnamed Championship club, and according to English media, the Spaniard has no future at QPR. Bold has been in contact with Rasmus Bertelsen, who has no comments on the specific question about QPR. Advertisement: However, he confirms, as he has done previously, that there is interest in him: - It is correct that there has been ongoing interest from various places, but I will not go into which clubs it concerns, he says. Several experts and fans have brought Bertelsen into play as a bid for a new AGF coach since the Aarhusians stopped working with Uwe Rösler. However, after Randers' match against Silkeborg on Sunday evening, he rejected a move to AGF, which he sees as a step backwards. - As I have said before, it really has to be something that is extremely attractive if I am going to move on from Randers now, said Rasmus Bertelsen, among others. Rasmus Bertelsen has three years left on his contract with Randers, so QPR must pay a transfer fee if they want the Danish coach to move to the other side of the North Sea. Two weeks ago, Tipsbladet reported that QPR were close to signing another Danish coach in the form of Johannes Hoff Thorup. However, the same media outlet later reported that the collaboration did not materialize. Rasmus Bertelsen has been in charge of Randers' first team for 98 matches. BUT.... big red warning markers over paying compensation... [Post edited 2 Jun 21:01]

The QPR summer managers rumours thread on 00:02 - Jun 3 with 3245 views | numptydumpty | What's the latest odds on Marti Cifuentes to be next QPR manager. Tbh I think its f**k**g appalling the way he has been treated by the club Considering the guy has done a half decent job - why has he been put n this position. The club really should explain why. They won't because they are cowards. He spoke to a rival but this position we are in now, damages the club. He can't get another job and managers who are way worse than him, are turning us down allegedly. There really was zero reason to engineer this situation.. Qpr are a total sh*tsh*w. It's embarrassing - we need every board member involved in this, to walk out with their tails right up their ********

I keep seeing on social media now that he was no good anyway, below average manager Utterly bizarre If you go back in history only 7 QPR managers have won more points at this level than Marti https://www.qprhistory.co.uk/records-honours/competition-records/second-tier

I hadn't seen that before. Chair has the most appearances for us at this level and needs one more goal to equal Mick Leach as our second highest scorer at this level. But still a long way to go to equal Rodney Marsh. And I never knew Moany Tony has the most wins against us at this level. We should give him the job if only to stop the bugger beating us. And according to that data Lyndon Dykes has a better goals per game for us in the second tier than Kevin Gallen, which is mind boggling if it's correct: - Dykes 35 goals in 156 games - Gallen 35 goals in 186 games [Post edited 3 Jun 9:41]

Continental, progressive, plays attacking football, champions youth if it's good enough, championship experience with a club on a limited budget....
